Fall Family and Engagement Sessions

With September behind us, I wanted to share a few of the great images we captured these past few weeks! After three beautiful  September weddings in the Edmonton area, I captured 22 family, baby and engagement sessions. Here are a few of the fabulous images that made me smile!

Little Miss K came in for her first photo-session at 10 months. My studio is ideal for children's photography - and my favourite sessions combine a bit of studio and outside images. There are beautiful walking paths, board walks,  bridges and lakes near my home, so it's easy to capture both!

This lovely family met me at Festival Place in Sherwood Park, and brought dad's sister's family too! We can combine two family sessions, and overlap a bit with multiple families, or a 'grandkids' picture (below) - perfect for Christmas presents! These two families decided to split the session fee, definitely an option! Sometimes it helps to have aunties, uncles or grandparents standing behind me to help draw the kid's attention as well. (even though I dance and sing, sometimes kids think I'm just strange, ha ha)

This sweet pea joined me for another in/out session so we could capture all of her tiny features!

Most of my engagement sessions can be seen on my wedding blog, but really, how adorable are these two? I'm so excited for their Banff wedding next summer, in a meadow overlooking the valleys and mountains! Eee! This image was captured at the Alberta Legislative grounds, a great location for both wedding and family photography.

And another super sweet couple, celebrating their 10th anniversary! We returned to the place of their wedding, the Mutthart Conservatory, and used the beautiful evening light to our advantage.

These beautiful girls come to me for 'school pictures'! Love those gorgeous smiles! Smeltzer house in Sherwood Park provides plenty of fun backdrops for any type of photo-session.

and, meet my fun-loving niece  full of life! She showed me some of her new dancin' moves she's learned at her dance school.

I first met Miss L at 3 weeks old in her home, but look at her standing now! 1 year old this weekend, happy birthday little one! I'll be bloggin' your yummy cake smash session next!

My sessions come in two sizes: 1.5 hours for $180 or 45 minutes for $90. Both receive a CD of all images, the best of which are edited.

A Legislature Family Session

This lovely family from Spruce Grove met me for a photo session at the Alberta Legislative Grounds in September. Tanis wanted photos that incorporated an interesting background, and the Legislature has endless opportunities for interesting and varied backgrounds! In a quick 90 minute session, we buzzed around the main building utilizing the different heights, backdrops, and colors. I was thrilled with the results, and I'm sure that they will be too!

PS - great job kids! You were awesome - right with me the entire session!

Fall colors may be fading - but the Legislature looks great all year long! There is still time to book and get your family session done in time to send out with the Christmas cards! This family session was a half-session (45 min) for $90. It was my most popular this fall; great for kids, as they don't get worn out! Every session receives a CD of all images, the best of which are edited.
